Whether you are new to flying or have been flying for years Precision Windsports can have you flying your own AirBorne Trike quickly and easily. New trike pilots often qualify for solo flight in as few as five days. Precision Windsports can also help you select the trike that best fits your budget and flying style and then arrange to qualify you in your very own trike. When you are done you are ready to explore on your own — or take a passenger with you for twice the fun J. Precision Windsports specializes in providing concentrated training (reserve three to five days and get a discount on flight training – M-F only). We fly 3-5 hours a day, weather permitting, and the typical student will require 15-20 hours before being solo qualified.* Click here for training rates. Most flying instructors can only provide part-time instruction because they have other jobs they maintain. The part-time instruction method may take you months to fly solo -- do you really want to wait that long? Additionally, most instructors require you to travel to their location. For those of you who have purchased a plane from Precision Windsports and want to train at your location, we can accommodate you. Training at your location familiarizes you with your home flying area while you are learning to fly. Another option is meeting at some great vacation spot of your choosing. Either way, whether you choose to train along the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, your home area, or some neat vacation spot; you will get up and flying on your own faster by going with a concentrated program of instruction.
Precision Windsports has partnered with Adventure Productions (for books, references, and DVDS) and King Schools (for ground school) to provide the very best in ground and flight instruction. Precision Windsport's chief instructor is FAA Certified under the new Sport Pilot rule. In fact, Terri was among the very first to be certified under the new rule. He is also an FAA Examiner and Commercially rated fixed wing pilot. Make sure your instructor is certified by the FAA. EAA has recently put out their "Reach for the Sky" Guide to learning how to fly. Precision Windsports owners Terri & Beth are featured on pages 8 and 9. This guide is a great help in getting started. Download your copy by clicking here (9MB pdf file). * Note: Reservations are restricted to 5 days at a time. Two week reservations are available to customers who have purchased their new AirBorne trike through Precision Windsports. |
